Adidas x Dragon Ball Z Collection Releases Kick-Off this Month
We’ve waited long enough for this collection to release. In fact, you could be expecting a child and received it before the Adidas x Dragon Ball Z sneakers drop. But the wait is nearly over now. This month, we’re getting two of eight sneakers that are releasing in honor of the Dragon Ball Z adventures.
3 DBZ Movies
One of the main reasons these shoes are dropping is probably because three DBZ movies are supposed to come out this year. According to Forbes, two events will take place in which the three movies will screen. The first movie is Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan, and it’ll show on September 15 and 17. The second and third movies, Dragon Ball Z: Bardock – The Father of Goku and Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn, will screen on both November 3 and 5.
Adidas x Dragon Ball Z Collection
We think those are interesting dates considering two shoes are to drop in Septemeber and two more in November. As preparation for the movies, two pairs dropping in August. They are the Adidas X Dragon Ball Z ZX500 RM Goku and the Yung-1 Frieza.
Both Goku and Frieza’s shoes are remakes of older silhouettes from the 80s and 90s. The Yung-1 is a reworked pair of an old-school running shoe called the “Falcon Dorf” and the ZX500 will be coming back this time around with Boost in the sole.
For Goku’s ZX500 RM, features on the shoe are very detailed to the last bit. There’s even Goku’s yellow Flying Nimbus on the front of the shoe and his Goku symbol on the heel tab.
Frieza’s menacing silhouette is cold. Resembling his character, the Yung-1 is dressed in white and purple with hints of pink. Leather, mesh, rubber, and more material will comprise the shoe.
Both sneakers include a Dragon Ball Z insoles and may drop alongside collectible figurines. The release date is not yet clear, but keep your eyes open for any possible day this month could be the day. Finally, they may both retail for $150.
The Adidas Game of Thrones UltraBoosts Are Coming (in 2019)
Inspired by the HBO fantasy TV series, Adidas is releasing a GoT-themed collection. With the next (and final) season of the series is due next year, winter couldn’t come any quicker. The Adidas Game of Thrones UltraBoosts collection drops sometime in 2019.
Adidas Game of Thrones
According to the 9.5/10 IMDb rating, one can tell that Game of Thrones is a globally adored series. With ratings that high, Adidas knew it would be stupid not to feed off that fame. This is pretty much like they’re doing with the Dragon Ball Z collection, but better.
Thanks to the Yeezy Mafia, and their detailed mockups, we have six UltraBoosts coming our way. Hopefully, we’ll finally know what it’ll feel like now that Winter is Coming. In the collection are the Houses of Stark, Lannister, and Targaryen, and three more UltraBoosts representing the Night’s Watch, White Walkers, and Dany’s dragons. Ugh, such anticipation for the show to air in 2019 and the sneakers to release.
1- House Stark
The House Stark UltraBoost sports Wolf Grey uppers (like the Stark Direwolves), black accents, black Boost outsoles and is complete with “Winter is Coming” tag on the heel.

2 – House Lannister
House Lannister of King’s Landing get’s the royal treatment with gold accents on the upper. The red color is unmistakably that of the Lannisters and as their sigil is a lion, the heel tag reads, “Hear Me Roar.”

3- House Targaryen
Known for having silver hair, the House Targaryen UltraBoost is white with silver details all over and withing. The shoe is completed with a heel tag that reads, “Fire and Blood.”

4- Adidas Game of Thrones House Targaryen Dragons
It would be an insult to the Mother of Dragons if we didn’t see her “little” ones get a pair of UltraBoosts. Smoked out black for the most part, the shoe features a firey PrimeKnit. Belonging to House Targaryen, the heel tag also reads, “Fire and Blood.”

Somehow you can imagine a brother of the Night’s Watch wearing these UltraBoosts, with a white Boost, toe, and heel as if covered in snow. In addition, the black speckled upper represents the night sky.

Finally, the ice cold UltraBoosts with icy blue accents to represent the peircing eyes of a White Walker, and the ominous “Winter Is Here” tag.

What a way to tribute such a crowd-pleasing show. Fans are both excited yet have that bittersweet feeling that their favorite series will end. PW Adidas NMD Hu Afro Pack Got Renamed to Solar Pack
A mashup between “Happy” singer, Pharrell Williams, and behemoth sneaker brand, Adidas, gives birth to an unforgettable line called the PW Adidas NMD Hu. The latest PW Adidas NMD Hu to release will be the Afro Pack which recently had a name change to the Solar Pack, as per the Yeezy Mafia.

With a Chinese pack and a Holi pack out of the way, the next pack draws inspiration from the motherland, Africa. Indeed, after making sneakers to commemorate nationalities around the world it’s only foreseeable that Williams designs an African inspired pack to honor his roots. However, now the Afro Pack is renamed to Solar Pack and there’s no reason why.

Two of three upcoming colorways appear in the Yeezy Mafia’s post, one teal/grey pair and a yellow/black pair. Besides the unique and wild choice of colors for the upper, details on the shoes suggest references to African heritage.
For instance, the teal and grey upper has the writing, “Milele Mbele.” Some people say means Forever in Swahili, while others are saying it means Go Forward. Whatever the case, both sound like something you can find on any PW Adidas NMD Hu.
The yellow and black pair reads “Empower and Inspire.” Finally is the last colorway, which was thought to be red. However, the Yeezy Mafia says that the red pair has been changed to pink. This pink pair will read “Mother Land.”
Release Info
These pairs will be complete with a trail outsole, like the PW Adidas NMD Hu Trail Holi and China Pack. The PW Adidas NMD Hu Trail Afro/Solar Pack will drop will on Adidas online. Additionally, it will release at select Adidas retailers. The drop date is on August 18th, 2018 and it’s presumably retailing for $250.
But, speaking of a Solar Pack, Pharrell Willams has a shoe in the making which we’ve seen before in this article. The bold PW Adidas Solar HU Glide ST is an all-new silhouette and not your regular PW Adidas NMD Hu. It comes with a PrimeKnit-like upper and hits of bold colors like red, blue, green, yellow, orange, and so on. Furthermore, it all rests atop a Boost midsole.
All You Need To Know About the New Yeezy Line Up FW18
A week ago we told you that your Yeezys will be delayed till fall. But the wait is over, you don’t need to guess when your favorite Yeezys will be released. The Yeezy Mafia just hit us up with the new Yeezy line up for Fall/Winter 2018 and gave us a rough estimate of when to expect our kicks.
The Delays
Allegedly, these Yeezys got pushed back due to the increase in production numbers. The Cream Whites were meant to drop in July and the Sesame in August. However, dates got changed, and it’s said that Yeezy Supply will be opening up warehouses in Europe and Asia. That may explain the sudden production level increase. Whatever the case, Kanye’s dream to make Yeezys available for everyone could be coming true.
The New Yeezy Line Up
In addition to the new Yeezy releases we’re expecting, last year’s Yeezy 350 V2s are getting a comeback. The Cream Whites and the OG Yeezy 700 WaveRunners, along with the Zebras and the Semi Frozen Yellows are coming back and with more force. In November, the Yeezy 500 will be dropping in the Salt colorway and a whole new colorway for the 700s will drop.
It’s great that sneakerheads can get a chance to cop the Yeezys they missed out on last year, but what we’re really hoping to see soon is more leaks about the Yeezy 700 V2. We imagine the next one to take the dad shoe trend into a more futuristic aesthetic.
Nevertheless, the Yeezy Mafia came through with this post. But most of you may be too busy drooling over the new Yeezy line up to notice that it says, “Subject to change,” on the top right corner. This means, prepare for these months, but don’t get confused over a last minute date change. All these heavy shoes will kill our bank accounts. That’s why copping more than one and selling the other for double will save your wallet.
Expect Delays As Yeezy Boost Production Levels Increase
The first Yeezy Boost of 2018 will drop by the end of this month. And with Drake’s Adidas deal allegedly coming our way, it’s only natural to appreciate the celebrity collabs that we already can’t cop. Of course, all that may change since Kanye wants to make Yeezys attainable for everyone.
The Problem With Exclusivity
Yeezys have always come in limited stock, that’s mainly why they’re valuable. The moment the release goes live, the pairs immediately sell out. That exclusivity creates high demand for the shoes, allowing resellers to manipulate the prices however they want. You can end up paying more than five times the retail price.
Kanye’s Promise
Back in 2015, Kanye West made a statement on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show that Yeezys will eventually become accessible to everyone. Watch the video to hear the statement:

Production Levels Cause Delay
According to the Yeezy Mafia, production levels of the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Triple Whites will see a massive increase this summer. In addition, many Yeezy releases are seeing a delay due to mass production. The Yeezy 700 Wave Runners, and the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Sesame and Triple White will eventually release later this year. Just not at their previous release date.

Well, all those delays make our article about 7 Upcoming Yeezy Releases in Summer/Autumn 2018 a bit pointless. However, the good news is that the Butter did not get delayed till Autumn. Instead, you can expect the Yeezy 350 V2 Butter to release on June 30, 2018.

Yeezy 500 Utility Black
On July 7th, the Yeezy 500 in an all black colorway will release. It will be the last Yeezy for the summer until we find out when the delayed shoes will drop.
But as for the rest of the Yeezys, just get ready for a wild holiday season including the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Zebra and Semi Frozen Yellows dropping in October. Good luck folks!
Adidas Retro These Old-School Silhouettes in 2018
With the dad shoe trend taking control this year, Adidas found the perfect opportunity to retro some of its old-school silhouettes. When they first dropped, sneakerheads didn’t welcome them with arms wide open. At least not as wide as they would today. Sneakerheads didn’t welcome the Yeezy 700 Wave Runners at first either. But the trend is growing and taking over, making bulky shoes more acceptable and even fashion forward. For example, the Yung-1 is just one Adidas retro that we’ll see release this year.
Adidas Retro the Falcon Dorf aka the Yung-1
The Adidas Originals Yung-1 is an Adidas retro of the Falcon Dorf. At first, the world thought this shoe had something to do with the Dragon Ball Z x Adidas collab. But it turns out this is just the OG colors of the Falcon Dorf. It was first created in 1997 as a sports shoe or runners. Adidas runners dubbed it the Falcon Dorf after the name of a small village they would pass every day on their run, Falkendorf.
To cater to the women, the brand with the three stripes decided to take this silhouette and create the Adidas Falcon. The shoe takes on a more feminine twist as from the Falcon Dorf, Yung-1. Although women would love to have what the boys wear, this is their exclusive pair:
Adidas Retro the Temper Run
The Adidas Originals Temper Run is from 2014, and it was then inspired by vintage shoes. As you can imagine, it may not have done nearly as well in sales as it could do now. What’s a more perfect time for this Adidas retro?
On May 5th, there was an exclusive release of two colorways of the Temper Run at the Adidas store in Hanbury Street, London. But now it seems as though we should expect more colorways to drop, according to sneaker leaker, @py_rates.
In addition, Adidas is also bringing back the Micropacer and mashing it up with the NMD R1. The Micropacer was an iconic shoe from 1984 that was the first smart shoe. It could calculate calorie burn and pace and distance of running. It’s 2018 rendition will be known as the Futurepacer.
Conclusion
Adidas is keeping that authentic vintage vibe with its retros. Even the colorways in both silhouettes are old-school. Yet some of the muted colors could still be worn years for years to come. Keep your eyes open for these will most likely release later this year.
Pusha T Confirms Drake’s Adidas Deal in “The Story of Adidon”
In recent news, things get beefier than ever between artists Pusha T and Drake when Pusha T drops his latest diss track, “The Story of Adidon” along with a photo of Drake in blackface. But it may reveal some truth to the fate of Drake’s career.
Drake vs. Jordan Brand
Some background – For some time now, there have been ongoing rumors that Drake’s deal with Jordan Brand will be a thing of the past. The reason being that the artist needs more creative freedom than the brand is giving him. And since then, The Child’s been seen wearing Adidas more often.
Pusha T vs. Drake
The two have taken subliminal shots at each other through their music since 2011. But nothing out of proportion like Pusha T just did following the release of his DAYTONA album.
Pusha T’s song “Infrared” prompts Drake to quickly respond with “Duppy Freestyle” to which Pusha T responds with “The Story of Adidon,” which may have taken the rap battle to a whole new level. Things escalated too quickly.
“The Story of Adidon” throws shade at Drake’s family situation and his mixed cultural background. He even makes a (rather heartless) comment about the sickness of his friend, Shebib, who’s an OVO producer.
Most importantly though, is the mention of Adidon. In the lyrics, Pusha T claims that Drake is hiding a son named Adonis. And he makes remarks about the mother of Drake’s hidden baby. Bars that reveal this information allude to a possible Adidas deal.
Drake & Adidas
We already anticipate that Drake will be moving his fashion line from Jordan Brand to Adidas in the near future. But with “The Story of Adidon,” it was confirmed. And the fact was locked tight in a clip from this interview Pusha T just had with The Breakfast Club, listen below:
So Drake’s Adidas brand will be called Adidon, a mix of his alleged son’s name, Adonis, and the brand name Adidas. If Drake indeed has a son and is waiting to drop his Adidas line in order to reveal it, then we anticipate that Drake will have to do a lot of fo damage control.
He already released a statement on his IG story regarding the blackface photograph but made no comment about the song’s lyrics. It’s only a matter of time until Push T receives a formal response, and we’re all waiting to hear it.
7 Upcoming Yeezy Releases in Summer/Autumn 2018
Sometimes you’re asleep all year only to wake up just for Yeezy releases. The Yeezy season has proven time and time again that it is worth the wait. While Kanye West is acting up lately, with his Slavery comments, we’re still stoked for the upcoming Yeezy releases during this summer and fall.
Previous Yeezy Releases in 2018
In 2018, we saw the Yeezy 500 in action. Of all the Yeezy releases, the Super Moon Yellow has a strange one. A well thought out marketing trick, the yellow-tinted Yeezy 500 dropped as part of a bundle. The bundle came with a hoodie and sweat shorts like Kim Kardashian wore in the paparazzi styled snapshots, which inspired the #YeezySeason6 Kim lookalike photos. Forking up $760 for the bundle was your only shot at getting the shoes.
Soon after, the Yeezy 500 Blush became available to only those who were at the 747 Warehouse St event, NBA All-Star Weekend. Event exclusive Yeezy releases suck. If you weren’t there, you’re only able to buy the shoes from StockX, and it was expensive. However, it eventually saw a restock on April 14 and today the Yeezy 500 Blush is almost at retail price on StockX.
Upcoming Yeezy Releases in 2018
JUNE YEEZY RELEASES
As of now, two Yeezys are reportedly dropping next month. First of all, the Yeezy 500 Super Moon Yellow will release again and the date is Saturday, June 9 according to Yeezy Mafia.
Secondly, the Yeezy 350 V2 is coming back this summer that with the Butter colorway that may drop sometime in June.
JULY YEEZY RELEASES
While we just had the bright colorway of the Super Moon Yellow, we’re getting a dark Yeezy 500. It’s the first dark colored Yeezy 500 set to drop. It will release on Saturday, July 7.
Also, the Yeezy Mafia tell us to expect the Yeezy 350 V2 Cream Whites to make a comeback this July.
AUGUST YEEZY RELEASE
Another very hyped Yeezy is the 350 V2 in Sesame colorway which supposedly drop in August.

Finally, we have a new silhouette, the Yeezy 700 V2 and it’s reportedly to drop in Autumn.
Seems like the Salt colorway is just a mockup for now, but if this dope color drops, it’s set to drop in October.

According to his tweets, Ye feels like he’s finally out of the “sunken place” and he’s not afraid of any form of self-expression. Petition
As a response to that comment, someone made a petition asking Adidas to let go of West. More than 20,000 people have signed it and people are still signing it every day to reach 25,000 names.
Event Shutdown
Usually, with Kanye’s name, there’s a long line of impatient hypebeasts at any storefront. That wasn’t the case with the Yeezy x 2XU event in Sydney. Because barely anyone showed up, the event had to close down.

Despite the backlash, Kanye’s show must go on. Taking to Twitter, he kept his responses short and apologized for nothing. He continued to use the internet to share information with us about things happening over at the Yeezy company. That’s when he shared the latest silhouette from Adidas Yeezy.
Among his 2018 releases (sometimes questionable), the Yeezy Boost 700 V2 gets deserves a thumbs up for trying. He even mentioned that the new rendition of the Wave Runner’s silhouette will drop in Q4, which is some time between October and December.
And as usual, this isn’t the first time we get a look at the 700 V2. However, it’s the first time we get confirmation from the man himself about the name and colorway. However, we’re not sure how to feel about that colorway. What can compete with the fresh Wave Runner colors?
Although he told Charmalagne that he’s on all kinds of drugs, would you forgive the man? Well, if you do let him off for his mindless comments, or if you care only about the shoes, you should keep your head up for a grey suede colorway hitting stores in Fall/Winter. The white one is clean as well but has some white Yung-1 vibes. What do you think?
Get an Eyeful of These Pharrell Williams Adidas Sneakers
Artist Pharrell Williams has an intense love of color, that’s facts. And it couldn’t be more obvious than with these new Pharrell Williams Adidas sneakers. These shoes absolutely taste the rainbow as if they were made of a bag of Skittles.
Following the light pastel powdery colors of the NMD HU Holi Pack are these Pharrell Williams Adidas shoes. Both shoes come dressed in bold colors that are reminiscent of the first PW NMD HU Race.
2 Pharrell Williams Adidas Sneakers
The shoes in the photograph above were first spotted on the feet of Pharrell himself in late 2017. When Pharrell Williams collabs with Adidas, NMD usually follows his name. But these shoes are not NMDS. These are called the Adidas Solar HU Glide ST, a new silhouette that features Boost.
It has an UltraBoost-like PrimeKnit upper with colors orange, yellow, red, green, purple, and a pop of blue. A black sole divider sits between the upper and a full white boost midsole, finished off with a contrasting rubber outsole.
The trademark triangle HU branding is sewn onto the toe box and also patched on the collar lining. The sneaker’s look is complete with Adidas branding on the tongue. Furthermore, the pair comes with three shoelaces colors: black, white, and yellow.
They have a similar boldness as that of the Boost You Wear that dropped during the 747 Warehouse St event. Based on StockX this shoe makes resellers a good $500 on average. And speaking of BYW, these new kicks (below) look like they were inspired by a collab with Google!
In the image above, the Crazy BYW is yet another Pharrell Williams Adidas sneakers. Williams himself was rocking these in China for the debut of his latest NMD China Pack dropping this May. The words on the upper are “Gratitude” and “Empathy”.
